A Fresh Look for Mike Vaughan Cycles: Celebrating Community, Art and Cycling

A fresh set of bespoke window displays has arrived on Kenilworth’s High Street, and we’re proud to share that we teamed up with local artist Daisy Mitchell to give our shop frontage a new lease of life.

Daisy, a talented 23-year-old illustrator from Kenilworth, created two stunning designs especially for our windows. Each piece took several weeks to produce and was revealed just in time for the High Street Christmas light switch-on.

Her artwork beautifully captures both our local roots and the wider world of cycling. One window showcases Kenilworth Castle and the new bike trails at Newbold Comyn in Leamington Spa, while the other celebrates the spirit of road cycling with references to Majorca, the Alps and the Tour de France.

We wanted our windows to reflect who we are: deeply connected to our community, yet a destination for cyclists from across the region. Daisy’s work brings that balance to life. It’s local, inspiring, and exactly the kind of energy we want people to feel when they pass by.

The response has been fantastic. Customers, local residents and industry reps have all shared their enthusiasm for the new look. We’ve built our reputation on expert service, specialist knowledge and a range that spans everything from children’s bikes and commuter models to electric bikes and high-performance road and mountain bikes.

Alongside the new artwork, we’ve refreshed the inside of the shop as well- improving space, layout and the overall customer experience. We’ve also expanded our premium services through a new collaboration with Scott Millns at Fit My Bike, bringing advanced bike-fitting expertise to riders who want the highest level of comfort, performance and precision.

We’re proud of our place in Kenilworth, and also proud that our customer base now stretches nationwide, with riders travelling from across the UK for fittings, servicing, bespoke builds and advice.

This December, we continued our commitment to the community by donating three children’s bikes as Christmas raffle prizes to Leek Wootton, Thorns and Priors Field primary schools, helping them raise funds through their festive events. Being part of the town has always mattered to us; we see the shop as a community asset. Working with a local artist, supporting schools, investing in our space - it all feeds into offering something personal, professional and genuinely worthwhile.
